What the HK is on Viki's needles?
We are in the final week of our most recent Knitalong and I have accomplished my goals. I managed to knit one pair of knitalong socks and one other pattern, both by the amazing Hunter Hammersen, our featured KAL designer. First of all, I'd like to say, Hunter has been a real treat to work with and so generous with her time and compliments. She appears on the group daily to cheer us on. And all this while she is in the throes of the final edits on her upcoming book. Fantastic. Hopefully our enthusiasm for her patterns cheers her on as well.
The knitalong pattern was a sneak preview from Hunter's upcoming book, The Knitter's Curiousity Cabinet, called Linaria Bipartita. I knit mine in Artisan Sock in my favourite blue, Indigo. The socks turned out beautifully and fit really well. I look forward to adding them to my sock drawer soon.
My other project was a pair of fingerless mitts (my hands are always cold when I type - like now) called Adumbrate which I knit in DK Lively in Laguna.
I have two other HK projects in the works right now, but they are of the top-secret variety (don't you hate that?). One is a test knit and the other is a pattern of my own in development. More on those soon, I promise. I'll also be revealing our next knitalong very soon. And I promise to give you a wrap up on the current KAL as soon as it is finished. We've had some beautiful finished objects being posted.
Come on over to the Ravelry group and knit with us!
