What the HK is on Viki's needles now!
Phew! It has been a while since I updated.
I finally finished my pair of Gentian socks in Artisan Mango Smoothie. What a beautiful pattern. It results in a show-stopping pair of socks. Look at the detail ... right down to the heel. A big thank you to the designer, Lisa Stichweh, for sharing such an amazing pattern with the Hazel Knits Ravelry group.
And remember you have until the end of the month to participate in the KAL on Ravelry. To enter you just have to complete any of Lisa Stichweh's patterns in any Hazel Knit yarn. In fact, you only have to complete one sock to enter. Every sock completed (with a photo posted on the KAL thread) gives you one chance to win an amazing prize. Read here for more information.
What else have I been knitting on? We'll I've been keeping a little secret. I have been working on my first design and I'm finally ready to show you. I'm pleased to present Hello Big World, a baby vest in sizes 6 and 12 months that uses less then 200 yds of Hazel Knits Artisan yarn.
Pictured above in the six month size in Euphorbia and Lipstick 1984.
The final sample (below in Aurora Borealis) in the large size is just coming off the blocking pads. I hope to finalize the pattern this week and launch my company, my website and my pattern store very soon.
So what the HK is on my needles now? Well, that's a secret, but I'll let you know more about what I'm working on as soon as I can. And I'll also let you know what we have planned for the next KAL early next week. It's going to be a good one!

Now, just one more shot of my sweet model, Nika, preparing for her photoshoot.

Love those socks! The pattern is beautiful. That baby is a cutie too, not to mention the vest.
