Let's have some fun!

It's time for another book giveaway! And this one is adorable.

Rebecca Danger of Dangercrafts is well-known for her original and creative toy designs, especially her monsters. Perhaps you are familiar with Maddox the Mischievous Monster? I've seen him popping up all over blogland for years.

Now Rebecca has taken her passion for monsters and created an entire nursery of designs in her latest book Knit a Monster Nursery. And today we have a copy to review and share.

Knit a Monster Nursery is chock full of patterns your littlest family member will enjoy, from clothing to toys to decorations.

I think these Monster Bootees would be a real treat in HK DK Lively. Maybe in Stick o'Butter and Zest.

Several of the patterns in the book also call for a fingering weight yarn, like Artisan Sock, including my absolute favourite: the Monster Mobile. How fun would this be in a nursery? The monster hanging upside down by his feet just slays me. I love it!

With 19 adorable patterns in the book you are sure to find the perfect idea for your nursery or perhaps to knit and give as a baby shower present. You'd be the hit of any shower, to be sure.

We love Rebecca's patterns so much, we are currently working with her on a super secret project (Shhh! I shouldn't even be mentioning it!). More on that in the future!

To see all the patterns included in the book, check out the book's ravelry page here.

To see Rebecca's complete list of patterns on Ravelry, click here, or you can visit dangercrafts.com.

To learn more about Rebecca you can follow along on her blog, here.

Knit a Monster Nursery can be purchased through most bookstores or directly through Rebecca, here.

And as promised, one of our lucky readers will win a copy of this super cute book. To be entered to win all you need to do is leave a comment on this post by midnight PST Friday, February 8, 2013 telling us how many knitting projects you currently have on the go (make sure you leave an email address or Ravelry name so we can find you). My answer? I've just cast on two new socks today (more on those soon) so that puts me up to 5 WIPs.

Don't forget to leave your comment -  one per person! *

Just finished socks last night, but will be starting another pair tonight, plus have a Snuggle on the needles and a hat in the planning stages (need to buy yarn for it, probably at Madrona).

Currently I have four active projects, but that's down from six as I just finished two pair of mystery socks this past week, both done in, what else?, Hazel Knits Artisan Sock! Of course!!

Love Rebecca's monsters and the projects in her nursery book are adorable! And I have two family members due this summer; what a fun project these would make for our expected arrivals ;-)

Love this book! I'm a long way off from needing a nursery, but There's so many irresistible patterns, I'm tempted to get started now!

Currently I have 2 active WIPs (including Rebecca's Terrence the T-Rex) and two hibernating WIPs that will be picked back up after these other two projects get finished up.

Projects? HAH!

well, in the pile next to me here by the couch (ahem!)... I can see a beaded shawl, 3 half pair socks, 1 1/2 sweaters, a half-baked idea for a hat...

next to my bed, there's a stole, 3 hats, 4 partial pair socks, a half-done, needs to be restarted colorwork hat of my own design (2 patterns are too close, need to be separated and redone), 2 striped scarves, and 3 part-done mitts.

in my backpack (call me an optimist) is most of one mitt, and hopes of time betwixt classes to finish the first and make a second.

and just hours ago, I was telling my kids I needed to find something for a friend who is expecting her second boy (a surprise)... And then you post monsters! Serendipity? One can hope!

Yikes... owning up to all the WIPs on my needles!!!? Okay, 8... 3 sweaters, and five socks... and I'd like to cast on another cowl but am trying to stifle my startitis by setting goals ("When I finish this, I'll cast on this...")....

Awesome giveaway!! Thank you for offering it! The patterns in the book are super adorable. I was looking through the actual book and fell in love a week ago with the designs.
I'm a Canadian fan of your yarn! A post office worker even asked what it was and such and I directed her to your site :-).
Okay I usually try to only have 1 project on the go at a time. Although I do buy yarn for future projects much earlier than I actually start :-). My addiction. I'm sure everyone out there understands ;-).
My current WIPs are: a crocheted baby blanket, another baby blanket, and a pair of mittens (1 done another mitten to go...kinda like second sock syndrome)
Projects I have yarn for in advance are: a knit baby blanket, and a cowl for myself
Lots of babies this year. My twin sister is expecting in spring and that's who the knit baby blanket will go to.

I have 4 sock projects going,2 shawls, and a sweater. So that makes 7 for me. Crap is all I have to say. One pair of socks is really close to finishing. I just got to get it together and stop casting on new projects and finish up the old stuff.

I think I have about five WIPs but only two are being worked on almost daily. I tend to have a few 'forgotten' ones and then two or three active ones.

LOVE the monsters and my husband will be a grand-father in August so I'll need to get knitting soon =)
