Cami Chic KAL



We are doing a little knit-along over at the Hazel Knits group on Ravelry with the Cami Chic colorway. It's a "knit what you want" KAL using the same yarn. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Cami Chic was inspired by the Weekend Warrior colorway. So, to back up, the Weekend Warrior color was inspired by the need for some colors that guys might like to wear. I actually used a military issue (Coast Guard) camouflage ruck sack to match up colors. The name Weekend Warrior comes from the sometimes used nickname military reservists - one weekend a month - in the BTU's.)

After I finished the Weekend Warrior, I thought there should definitely be a companion colorway to go along. A touch more feminine, yet not soft. More like FIERCE! So the deep green and black were replaced with bright pinks, reds, and softer browns. Voila’! And the name Cami Chic? Well it's a riff off of camouflage, made chic!
