November/December KAL/CAL

Tomorrow is the first of November and that brings with it the start of a new knitalong/crochetalong on Ravelry. For the next KAL/CAL we will be knitting or crocheting any pattern that fits in with the theme Flora (plants). You can choose any pattern (socks, hat, sweater, shawl, whatever) that is named after, inspired by or depicts a plant or part of a plant.

I went back into my own archive of HK projects to see what I could find that fit this description and found a few examples to share with you. These are all socks, but you can knit whatever catches your fancy.

Hunter Hammersen's Linaria Bipartita in Artisan Sock in Indigo.

Cookie A's Hedera in Artisan Sock in a rogue red

Anne Hanson's Papaver Sok in Artisan Sock in Hoppy Blonde

Lisa Stichweh's Haystacks in Artisan Sock in the club colour Weather Vane

Mona Schmidt's Embossed Leaves in Artisan Sock in Shady Verdant

You can find more information about the KAL/CAL on Ravelry here and we hope that you will join us for a fun two months of plant related knitting or crocheting.
